Paddlefest 2020

Cincinnati Paddlefest, 2020

Proposed design for Cincinnati's annual Paddlesfest, the nation’s largest paddling celebration with over 2,200 participants traveling 9 miles through downtown Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky in canoes, kayaks, and other human-powered craft. Cancelled due to coronavirus.

Assorted pieces, 2018-2019

Mixing a style of fanciful hand-drawn designs with the hauteur of high fashion, these cards are printed on 300gsm paper and sold as postcards.

The Wandering Yarn Project is an experiment in adventure-knitting, traveling around the world and knitting garments from yarn purchased all across the globe. Designed in Illustrator.

Alice in Bibleland, 2014

Alice in Bibleland was originally published in the 1980s, a series of children's books telling stories from the Bible in rhyme. In 2014, I was approached by the estate to redraw the books in a modern style more appealing to today's youth. Drawn by hand and coloured in Photoshop.

The Littlest Colouring Book, 2015

A pocket-sized adult colouring book, for artists on-the-go. Featuring 15 hand-crafted designs abstract and concrete, this was designed to be a colouring book for artists. The designs are each wholly unique, and are brought to life by the customer's own choice of colours.

"The Hub" monthly newsletter excerpts, 2018-19

Examples of pages from the Hub's monthly newsletter, a youth center for the children of US armed service members, stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. The newsletter was delivered to community members across the installation.

Gretchen Kessler is a photographer living, working, and photographing in Cork, Ireland. She lives with her pet rats, enjoys singing in a local choir, and can usually be found in Fitzgerald's Park when the weather is nice.

Gretchen focuses on a documentary style with her photography, with the aim of capturing and recording the world around her for posterity. Gretchen received her first camera at the age of 13, and fondly remembers spending hours after school in the photo lab, carefully developing photographs long after her schoolmates had gone home.
